Stallone was placed in foster care during a portion in his first years. Stallone at the age of five was moved by his father in Washington, D.C., and opened his own beauty salon. Stallone spent many years in Maryland and was living with his father from 1957, when the couple divorced. He had a difficult time both academically and emotionally being a victim of bullying, and had to quit many schools.
